Strawberry Sauce

  • 1lb rhubarb stalks, chopped into small pieces
  • 2 cups chopped strawberries
  • 1/4 cup honey (more or less to taste)


  1. Put rhubarb, strawberries, and a tablespoon or two of water (more or less to adjust thickness of sauce) in a saucepan and cook over medium low heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture bubbles.
  2. Simmer until rhubarb becomes soft and sauce starts to thicken, about 5 minutes
  3. Add honey to taste
  • Serve on pancakes, ice cream, angel food cake, waffles, etc.
  • Store leftovers in fridge.
  • You can use frozen strawberries and frozen rhubarb to enjoy spring flavor all year!
