Raikes Beef Co. runs a beef shop in downtown Ashland Nebraska. The store stocks their own beef cuts, jerky and brats, as well as local pork and chicken, seasonings/rubs, duck fat & specialty butters, kitchen items, local food products, and Raikes Beef Co. apparel. The store is open Wednesday – Sunday, but if you can’t make it in Raikes Beef Co. is always open online! Customers can purchase a wide variety of beef bundles online – from skirt steaks to New York Strips and everything in between. These bundles are perfect for family gatherings and barbeques. The Raikes Family’s cattle are Japanese Wagyu-Angus hybrid also known as American Wagyu or American Style Kobe Beef. The Wagyu breed – a breed from Japan which is genetically predisposed for intense fat marbling and tender meat, and the Angus – a breed originally from Scotland known for their hardiness, and thick muscling.
Raikes Beef Co. yield meat that has a higher percentage of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids compared to the cattle more commonly found in the U.S. The Cattle are raised on rolling green pastures, grain finished, and hormone free. Their beef is aged 21-28 days, vacuumed packed and flash frozen to preserve flavor and freshness.
