Onion Rings

Ingredients:
- 2 Sweet Onions
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tbs. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground pepper
- vegetable oil
- or oil of choice
Directions:
- Slice onions in 1/2 to 1” rings and separate
- Soak rings, covered in the refrigerator for at least an hour
- In a large pot fill with 3” of oil, heat to 350 degrees
- In a pie plate or shallow bowl combine flour, salt, and pepper.Dredge rings in flour well, you can even dip in buttermilk and flour mixture a second tim
- Fry several at a time for 2-3 minutes, until golden brown.Serve immediately with ketchup or a homemade fry sauce
