Farmers' Markets are the central hub for local foods and are vital for rebuilding local food economies. Both historically and presently, farmers markets are important social and economic establishments in many of our communities. They offer a retail sales opportunity to farmers and a wonderful meeting space for the community to shop, socialize, and celebrate local foods.
Our farmers' market members are dedicated to:
-
Providing customers the freshest, most delicious food available.
-
Protecting our region’s land, air and water.
-
Building prosperity in our community and fueling a more resilient local economy by purchasing from local farmers and producers.
-
Strengthening our region’s food security and finding ways to reduce food waste.
-
Celebrating the unique culture and history of Nebraskan foods
