The Country Pumpkin, located in Sutton, NE is owned by Brett Nunnenkamp. Brett was thirteen years old when he started selling pumpkins through a FFA (Future Farmers of America) project. He'd put pumpkins out in the driveway with an ice-cream pail for folks to pay using the honor system. His project grew into a business through high school and college and now The Country Pumpkin is the beloved farm to find all kinds of beautiful pumpkins, squashes, and gourds.
The farm grows over 50 varieties of pumpkins, squash, and gourds that make beautiful fall decorations and tasty meals! They also sell pumpkin puree for making breads and soups.
"At The Country Pumpkin, we’re more than just orange! We offer a wide variety of homegrown pumpkins, including blue, tan, and white-colored pumpkins. We also have many varieties of heirloom squash, gourds, and ornamental corn – all grown right here on the family farm in south central Nebraska. We take pride in the quality of our products, which are hand picked daily and washed before displaying for sale."
